Transportation Corridor Agencies Vote to Appoint New CEO
Irvine, Calif. - July 13, 2023
At their July 13 Joint Boards of Directors meeting the Foothill/Eastern Transportation Corridor Agency (F/ETCA) and the San Joaquin Hills Transportation Corridor Agency (SJHTCA) voted to appoint Ryan Chamberlain as the new CEO, subject to successful negotiations of an employment contract.
TCA’s general counsel along with SJHTCA Chair Will O’Neill announced the vote immediately following the closed session discussion.
The F/ETCA Board of Directors voted 9-0 to unanimously appoint Chamberlain.
The SJHTCA Board of Directors voted 11-1 to appoint Chamberlain.
The CEO is responsible for the execution of the F/ETCA and SJHTCA Boards of Directors’ strategic plan, oversight of daily tolling operations, management of an annual budget (excluding debt service) of $78.6 million, 66 full-time equivalent employees and an investment portfolio of approximately $1.5 billion.
The Transportation Corridor Agencies (TCA) are two joint powers authorities formed by the California Legislature in 1986 to plan, finance, construct and operate Orange County’s public toll road system comprised of the 73, 133, 241 and 261 Toll Roads, which represents 20% of Orange County’s highway system.
