No. Cash payment is not accepted on The Toll Roads. All tolls are collected electronically via pre-established FasTrak® and ExpressAccounts® or online using our One-Time-Toll® payment option.

With five ways to pay tolls (FasTrak®, three ExpressAccount® types and the One-Time-Toll® option), there's a custom payment method that will work for every driver - regardless their method of payment, when they want to pay their toll and how much of California they intend to explore.

No. All vehicles on The Toll Roads must pay a toll. 5. How do people driving rental/loaner cars pay tolls?

How do people driving rental/loaner cars pay tolls?

If you have a FasTrak® or ExpressAccount® you can temporarily add the vehicle's license plate number to your account and transfer your transponder (if you are paying with FasTrak) to the vehicle.

If you don't have FasTrak or an ExpressAccount, you can easily pay tolls online using our One-Time-Toll® payment option within 5 days before or 5 days after your trip. Click here to pay.

Local Avis and Budget car rental agencies provide FasTrak transponders upon request that allow drivers to use all tolled bridges, lanes and roads in California with a nominal daily fee plus the cost of the tolls. Because each car rental agency has their own terms and conditions where tolling is involved, customers should check with the agency for specific terms and conditions.

  6. Are corporate programs available?

    Are corporate programs available?

Yes. We offer a corporate subsidy program in which employers can contribute to FasTrak® accounts. A minimum of 100 participants is required. Please have your human resources representative call The Toll Roads for details at (949) 754-3460.

  7. Are commuter discount programs available?

    Are commuter discount programs available?

No. At this time, we do not have a commuter discount program. However, FasTrak® drivers pay reduced tolls -- $1 less at each tolling location -- than tolls paid with ExpressAccounts® and the One-Time-Toll® payment option pays the highest tolls.
