NEW CEO ANNOUNCED FOR TRANSPORTATION CORRIDOR AGENCIES
Thomas E. Margro scheduled to begin new job July 10, 2007

IRVINE, Calif. (June 6, 2007) --  The Boards of Directors of the Transportation Corridor Agencies voted unanimously today to authorize the Chairs to negotiate and execute an employment contract with Thomas E. Margro for the position of Chief Executive Officer for Orange County’s 67-mile toll road system.

“Thomas Margro will bring the Agencies extensive experience in the transportation industry and proven leadership success,” said Carmen Cave, Chairwoman for the San Joaquin Hills Transportation Corridor Agency. “His experience will ensure that our Agencies continue to lead the toll operation and customer service industries.”

“Today’s announcement moves the Agencies into the future,” said Jim Thor, Chairman of the Foothill/Eastern Transportation Corridor Agency.  “Mr. Margro’s number one priority will be to complete the 241 Toll Road as soon as possible in a way that is sensitive to environmental and community concerns.”

Margro is currently the General Manager for the Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART) in Oakland.  Margro announced his retirement from BART in April after holding the position since 1996.  He began his career at BART in 1990 as Assistant General Manager – Development and prior to joining BART he held the positions of assistant General Manager and Chief Engineer at the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority in Philadelphia.

Margro has a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Syracuse University and a Masters of Science degree in electrical engineering/systems engineering and operations research from the University of Pennsylvania.

“I am both excited and thrilled on being selected as CEO,” said Margro.  “The TCA has an excellent reputation for innovation in toll road technology and construction, and also as an organization that values its customers and its employees.  I look forward to continuing that tradition.”
